Right now, 1 billion people are unable to read a single sentence in any language. Women, girls, and migrants are particularly affected. When children fail to read they are more likely to live in poverty, more likely to be affected by health crisis, and less likely to have literate children themselves.

They can search their own solutions, learn knowledge and skills that give meaningful livelihoods, and will teach their children to read.
